Week 14 - Change of plans

Updated: May 16, 2020

In the past few weeks our prototype had gone threw some changes. First, we had decided to change our game into a jamming session between employees. After deep research we came to an understanding that the synchronization between people had a great impact, especially when our target users are working from home.

The next stage was to present our new prototype for the mentors and ask them the questions we had prepared in advance regarding our next steps in the process.

Some of the questions were:

support screen or app or not? - Is it true that each tool will have its own design against one object that contains several variants? - Fixed / Random / Toggled tools? (Our starting point: 1-2 sessions per week Group Switching - Dependent on user testing? Random / Independent Distribution - user testing?

After the meeting with the mentors we has prepared a small summery of our notes: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tlumJkKK78-smcLHZY92myUL6QlRfUKw4i9k7TSKO04/edit

Then we started sketching our prototype and building a model based on our guild lines.

It was important for us to keep our look and feel while adapting for the jamming session and the fact that our prototype will be in fact an instrument.

When we had out prototype we came to the understanding that it will need to be connected to a screen, which led us to start sketching our screens for the jam session:

From sketching to Adobe XD:

We then decided to change the screen to a web design and not an app or mobile design:

Eden started working on our technical side of the prototype and came up with a video better explaining our user flow:

In the past week Eden had informed us that there are some difficulties in the technical part that he is now working on with Tzvika who will assist him to adapt the prototype.

This week we will have a day of user testings with the working prototype, which we will write more about later on this week.
