Week 4: Need Validation and Presentation

On the fourth week we were sent to do some observations.

In our observation we have decided to focus in one location that every company has in common - The coffee station.

We were observing different people in the coffee stations.

Sometimes they sat alone, sometimes they were “with” their phones, trying to catch up with their friends from home. Looking from far away you can see a lot of things that you can not see when you are asking people questions.

After we came to the conclusion that most people sat alone, we wanted to ask them a few questions in order to confirm what was our hypnosis: they wish to be with somebody else, rather than sitting alone.

After interviewing two people in these coffee stations it was clear that they would love to have someone with these sitting with them just to talk about something else but work.

The problem is that they did not ask anyone to join them.

“I always want people to come to eat with me, if I eat alone, I just eat really fast and go back to work, but if someone else will sit with me I can talk for hours.

“I like to talk to people about topics that are not work related, if someone will talk to me about something regarding work when I am on my brake, I will get upset and I will not want to keep talking”.
